Túra skalními městy a údolími Kokořínska

Let’s spend a day hiking in the rocks of the Kokořínsko protected lanscape area!

Kokořínsko ranks among the most beautiful places of Czechia, it’s located pretty close to Prague, yet will give you a completely different picture of the country. It’s a rocky area full of rock formations, view points, caves, ruin of castles, and even rock flats. This time it realy took me lots of time to come up with a trail as there is just so much to see and will surely have to organize another one again 🙂

Highlights of the hike

– walk through rock labyrinths and fairy tale valleys

We will meet at 8.20 at the BUS STATION Praha-Holešovice (C-red metro line) at platform 3. The bus leaves at 8:45. We will get the tickets on the spot, so don’t be late!

We will take a bus to to Zakšín ariving at 9:45, from where we will start hiking through the rocks. We will be given a couple of nice views, explore some caves, walk through valleys, and even see rock flats!
There won’t really be a place to have lunch at a restaurant, but take some brunch with you, we will surely have a picnic while enjoying views over the surroundings. We will finish the hike in Dobřeň, and take a bus through Mělník back to Prague. If we still feel like, we can have a look at the famous confluence of the rivers Vltava and Labe (Elbe) from the Mělník castle, and sit for some dinner/beer. Otherwise we come back to Prague -Ládví by bus at 7pm.

This event is free of charge (you just need money for bus tickets), but any contribution, which is fully voluntary and totally up to you, for organizing is very welcome (consider how much you liked it, the fees I pay, my time spent etc.) If you prefer, you can do it anonymously by putting something into the white bottle in my side pocket anytime you want.
